Cheaper electricity and a bigger wind power industry, aided by our better, bankable wind and turbulence data
Many wind farms are the victim of their own structure. Complex winds and wakes between turbines make wind park management very awkward and inefficient. Our CYCLOPS-T system (illustrated above) is being developed to increase the operational intelligence of wind farm managers under these conditions, to reduce their OPEX and increase productivity. The system shall be tower mounted and will be appropriate for use either offshore or on-land.
In complex terrain, free-standing CYCLOPS-G units will endure harshness all year round to measure the true wind over difficult-to-reach places and establish a higher certainty to wind resource assessments. The highly available and reliable data they provide, by increasing the risk certainty, shall bring down the potential cost of finance for that future wind power project.
